If the
ContRecordMessage
command returned with the “T” or “M” flags set to one, then the
current recording has been automatically ended by the CHIPSET. However, the CHIPSET
remains in recording mode. To return into an other mode one has first to go into the
Idle
mode
using the
Idle
command followed by the required command. Consequently, since the recording
has already been ended for you by the CHIPSET you may not stop the recording again by
sending the
ContRecordMessage
command, with tailcut factor set between 0 and 254. The
recording has already been ended by the CHIPSET! Failing to do so can produce unpredictable
results and even the loss of messages. However, one can still send the
ContRecordMessage
command with the tailcut factor set to 255 to retrieve the status flags.
